About This Event
Online Induction for New Volunteers
Ever wanted to join our healthcare professional team of volunteers?
Here’s your opportunity! 🙂
On Thursday 3rd March 2022 from 6.30pm – 8.30pm, we will be delivering an online induction for new volunteers based in Victoria, New South Wales and Tasmania.
Due to COVID restrictions, like everyone else, we’ve had to change the way we do things. So if you’re interested in hearing about how you can contribute your skills and knowledge to help improve the health literacy of communities from migrant, refugee and asylum seeker backgrounds, come along to our online induction session.
You will learn about our organisation The Water Well Project and what we’re about, how you can contribute as a healthcare professional facilitator and some tips around how to facilitate interactive education and work effectively with an interpreter. We’ll be joined by members of our team, along with current volunteers who will share their insights on how to be engaging when delivering community-based education.
Event open to prospective volunteers who meet our eligibility criteria.
Note: we will accept registrations on a first-come, first-served basis, based on eligibility and vacancies, with a maximum of 25 final year students from relevant healthcare disciplines for this induction. We will also endeavour to spread attendees across our three states.
