2025 Annual Report - Highlights
The Water Well Project is an award-winning charity that improves the health and wellbeing of communities from migrant, refugee and asylum seeker backgrounds by improving their health literacy. We achieve this through our free interactive community-based health education sessions facilitated by volunteer healthcare professionals across Victoria, Tasmania and New South Wales. We work closely with refugee and migrant support organisations to ensure sessions are tailored to the needs of each community group and delivered in a culturally responsive manner.
In 2025, we expanded our multilingual health education efforts, ensuring greater inclusivity for diverse communities. We strengthened volunteer engagement by welcoming 99 new healthcare professionals and enhancing training in cultural responsiveness and health communication. We facilitated 230 health education sessions across Victoria, New South Wales and Tasmania, reaching 4,194 participants from migrant, refugee and asylum seeker communities, bringing our total impact to over 2,100 sessions and 32,000 participants since inception.
These milestones show our steady growth, rising demand, and deepening community impact. We remain committed to empowering communities through health education and building healthier futures across Australia.
