Interactive community sessions

Interactive sessions are delivered across Melbourne and Geelong within community settings.

Sessions are allocated to volunteers based on their availability, expertise, prior volunteer experience with The Water Well Project, as well as prior contact with a specific community group. Interactive resources and props are available for the commonly delivered topics, to help delivery of these sessions.

Note that session topics and community groups vary from month to month; and bookings are open up to the Wednesday one week prior to the session date; and are subject to availability of an interpreter and group availability. Notification of new session listings are via our monthly call-out emails, and The Water Well Project- Private Facebook Group Page.

**Although Event Listings can be viewed on this page, to participate in community sessions- volunteer facilitators need to be "inducted" ie) attend an Induction Session; and have a valid Working With Children check registered with us.

Induction Program

Induction Sessions

To become a registered healthcare professional volunteer with The Water Well Project, interested individuals need to attend an Induction Program.

These are run 2-3 times per year, and provide an Introduction to The Water Well Project, common refugee health issues, working with interpreters and a workshop-based introduction to facilitation. These are open to doctors, allied healthcare professionals and final year medical students. Attendees must have registered with our website in order to be eligible for these sessions.

To be notified about our next Induction Session, register your details- and you will receive an automated notification when we confirm dates. In the meanwhile. you may wish to like our Facebook public page, to hear updates about the work we are doing within the community.
