About This Event
Induction session for healthcare professionals interested in becoming volunteers for The Water Well Project in Melbourne or Geelong. Come find out about how you can contribute your skills and knowledge to help improve the health literacy of communities from migrant, refugee and asylum seeker backgrounds.
Date: Thursday 27th June 2019
Time: 6:15pm – 8:30pm (arrive by 6:15pm for a 6:30pm start)
Venue: Lecture Theatre, Level 5, Monash Children’s Hospital
Cost: $10 (non-refundable)**.
Other notes: Light catering will be provided.
**Instructions for payment:
i) When you click ‘book my participation’ you will be taken to a secure PayPal link. ii) Please process payment using either your PayPal login or via credit card without logging in. iii) This will submit your reservation for the Induction. Please note, your reservation will need to be approved before your attendance is confirmed. When we approve your reservation you will receive an email. If we do not approve your reservation, you will receive an email to inform you that your PayPal transaction has been reversed.

Event open to 60 attendees, who meet our eligibility criteria.
Eligibility criteria:
1. Be a qualified healthcare professional or final year student in a healthcare related discipline. Details of registration with AHPRA must be provided (where applicable). Please check our website for details.
2. Have, or be prepared to apply for a volunteer Working with children card.
Note: we will accept a maximum of 20 medical students for this induction, which we are close to fulfilling.

Sign-ups will only be accepted via the website. To do this register your details on the website, then log-in and return to this page see the ‘book my participation’ button and sign up to attend our “induction session”. We have a long waiting list of interested volunteers, so please only sign up if you can be present for the whole session.
