About This Event
The Pacific Island Womens Health Equity Day is a free grassroots community event to bring together Pacific Island Women in Victoria for better health outcomes and wellbeing. The day will consist of free health workshops in collaboration with health providers, stallholders from various health organisations, free lunch, pacific island entertainment, panel of health experts including representation from the pacific islands. This event is aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 5 ~ Gender Equality. Event time: 10am- 3:30pm.
This is an exciting opportunity for TWWP female volunteers who are enthusiastic about Women’s Health to be a part of this inaugural event. Engage Pasefika has invited TWWP volunteers to host 2 workshops on Bowel and Cervical Cancer Screenings. The event will be ran 10am-3pm with these 45min workshops taking place 11am-1pm.
The volunteer would be requested to arrive at 10am for introductions, with the workshops running 11am-11:45 and 12pm-12:45pm. Option to stay at the event and join in on the cultural lunch and performances which continue until 3pm.
