1. What is your background?
I am a medical doctor from Myanmar and have recently completed Master of Public Health at the University of Melbourne.
2. What inspired you to become a Water Well volunteer?
People in need inspired me to become part of The Water Well Project. The health education sessions organised by The Water Well Project for people of migrant, refugee and asylum seeker background are the compass to their healthy life.
3. Please share one of your favourite Water Well sessions or moments.
Health Education session with Chin Play Group, in which the session was run in my mother tongue language. It was so wonderful for them to have a health education session facilitated in their own language in a foreign country.
4. What tips do you have for new volunteers?
Be prepared that sometimes you will need body language (universal language) during volunteering.
You will definitely enjoy the experience.
