Topic: Heart Health and Diabetes
A fun, important session that examines the risk factors, symptoms and preventative treatment of cardiovascular (heart) health, including high blood pressure, heart attack and stroke. Interactive scenarios include signs of a heart attack or stroke and when to call the ambulance or see the GP.
Participants will also learn about how and why diabetes occurs (including risk factors), as well as its diagnosis, management and complications. The session highlights the importance of a healthy lifestyle in the prevention of diabetes.
