About This Event

This is a face-to-face session to be held in Burwood, NSW, 96 Shaftesbury Rd.

Topic: Preventative health & Skin Health
Preventative health includes the prevention of illness, the early detection of specific disease, and the promotion and maintenance of health. Using the SNAP acronym, smoking, nutrition, alcohol and physical activity, participants engage in a conversation about how to promote good health. Screening and health checks are also discussed.

*This session is being funded by the NSW Cancer Institute to help increase awareness of, and access to, the cervical screening program among CALD communities. As part of this project, there are a few additional questions to ask participants – three before the session and three after. You’ll find a separate attachment provided to record these responses.

Participants learn general tips for healthy skin. They discuss common skin problems such as eczema and acne, as well as skin health and how to do a full body skin check.
