Topic: Allergies and Asthma
Participants learn about allergies, anaphylaxis, common triggers and how to respond. The session can include practical discussion about allergy action plans, medicines and when to seek urgent help.
Participants learn about asthma, including how to recognise and manage asthma attacks. Childhood asthma and thunderstorm asthma are both discussed. Participants engage in physical demonstrations that illustrate how difficult it is to breathe during an asthma attack, and how to use asthma puffers
*School requires photo ID of the volunteers to be sent prior.
