2. What inspired you to become a Water Well volunteer?
I had a strong desire to volunteer with an organisation for a long time, however unfortunately there were lots of conditions with these organisations. I love the flexibility of The Water Well Project, it ties in well with my LHD and I can use my knowledge from work to educate those around me.
3. Please share one of your favourite Water Well sessions or moments.
My mental health session was my favorite. The women and I could not stop laughing all session with their funny stories during their icebreaker. It was nice to know how much we all had in common and it did not feel like there was barrier between us even with the use of an interpreter.
4. What tips do you have for new volunteers?
I think remembering what you would like personally in an information session or the way you best learn helps to create a session that is more enjoyable.
