The Water Well Project was proud to receive a Victoria Day Award for Community Organisation of the year in 2019.
Founder of the project, Dr Linny Phuong, accepted the award on behalf of the organisation at a ceremony held at the Melbourne Town Hall on July 1st.
“We are honoured to receive this award on such a special day for the state of Victoria,” says Dr Phuong. “We feel privileged to receive the award alongside other category winners, who are doing such great work and being role models in the community.”
Prominent AFL figure Neale Daniher was named Victorian of the Year, Dr Skye Kinder was awarded Young Victorian of the Year, and Channel 31 was awarded a Victoria Day Award for the Arts.
