The Water Well Project was proud to be a Melbourne Award Finalist and Winner in the category of multiculturalism and contribution to the community by an organisation.
Dr Linny Phuong accepted the award from Sally Capp, Lord Mayor of Melbourne, at the Melbourne Awards ceremony in June 2018.
"We are very proud to be represented alongside other finalists doing incredible work in our communities, including Africa Day Australia Inc and the African Music and Cultural Festival," said Dr Phuong. "On behalf of The Water Well Project, our volunteers and partner organisations, we are indeed humbled to accept this award."
Now in its 17th year, the Melbourne Awards are the City of Melbourne’s highest accolade, celebrating the inspirational Melburnians who dedicate their time and energy to making the City of Melbourne a world leader.
