1. What is your background (profession/ workplace/ training)?

I'm a HMO2 working at Monash Health aiming for a career in paediatrics

2. What inspired you to become a Water Well volunteer?
Hmmm, I can't remember what initially inspired me, I remember hearing Linny talk about Water Well at a Victorian Women in Medicine event and I remember being really excited about the concept.  Why I stay involved in Water Well is that I love having the opportunity to put my training and knowledge to use on something other than paperwork, I actually feel like I make a difference when I do a Water Well session.

3. Please share one of your favourite Water Well sessions or moments.
My favourite moment was doing a session on cardiovascular health with a group of middle aged immigrants. The women were so interested and involved, I became much more of a facilitator to their discussion rather than someone delivering a topic.  It was fantastic!

4. What tips do you have for new volunteers?
Get involved, don't worry about whether you will know enough (you will) or whether it is the best topic for you just get going.  Try to go to your session prepared but don't over plan it.  Sessions are somewhat unpredictable and you need to be flexible.
